UVALDE COUNTY STELLAR FEST THE PRE-PARTY!
Uvalde, Texas will be a premier viewing site for TWO much anticipated events: An Annular Solar Eclipse that will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023 and a Total Solar Eclipse that will occur on Monday, April 8, 2024. We are expecting an influx of visitors to our area during this time.
Uvalde County will be hosting a variety of fun and family-focused community events in Uvalde and in the Concan area during both eclipses.

Here at The Fairplex, things will kick-off Friday, October 13 with an Eclipse "Eve" Food Truck Party from 4-9pm! The event will feature 6 amazing Food Trucks, a Dueling Pianos Sing-Along Show at 5pm, a Kid's Zone with a Video Game Truck, Obstacle Courses, Free Pumpkins and Free Kites, Music by Freestyle DJ Steve and an interesting and entertaining Eclipse Overview presentation from Australian Eclipse Chaser, Dr. Kate Russo at 7pm.
We will have Eclipse Safety Glasses on sale for $2/pair.
On Eclipse Day, Saturday, October 14, join the fun from 10am - 10pm as we enjoy vendors, food trucks, Out of This World Car Show & Cornhole Tournament, Kid's Zone with a Video Game Truck, Obstacle Courses, Mariachi's, Ballet Folklorico, and Live Bands - featuring Eztilo and Erick y Su Grupo Massore!
San Antonio's most popular Meteorologist, Mike Osterhage of KSAT-12 TV will guide us through the Eclipse Watch as we go LIVE... tell your friends to look for you on KSAT-12 during the eclipse!
